Information on EndNote
EndNote FAQ's
What Output Style do I use for Dr. Ganjam's Paper?
- Author-Date
- In Word, click on the Format Bibliography in the EndNote toolbar (looks like a 1, 2, 3 list). Choose Author-Date from the Output Style drop-down menu
How do I turn in my EndNote library to Zac?
- You'll be uploading your EndNote library to Blackboard. To do this, you'll need to "zip" or compress your EndNote library.
- Remember that EndNote creates *two* items: a .enl file and a .Data folder (e.g., anderson_vbms5052.enl and anderson_vbms5052.Data). You'll need to compress the library to create a .enlx file.
- In EndNote, choose File > Send to... > Compressed Library
- Save the .enlx file
- Upload the .enlx file (e.g., anderson_vbms5052.enlx) to Blackboard in the EndNote Assignment folder.
What's the difference between EndNote X and EndNote X1?
- Some slight navigational differences and terminology changes. If you use EndNote in the computer/histo lab, you'll use EndNote X; if you download EndNote from the Software Distribution site, you'll use EndNote X1.
- In EndNote X1, you'll see a "Custom Group" area.
- To connect to PubMed (NLM), EndNote X calls it Tools > Connect > Connect... EndNote X1 calls it Tools > Online Search > New Search
- In Word 2007, EndNote X will be in your Add-Ins ribbon; EndNote X1 will be in an EndNote ribbon.
What if I have Word 2003?
- No problem. The EndNote Cite While You Write information can all be found under the Tools menu (and you can view the EndNote toolbar up at the top)
