Policy for Unattended Personal Belongings left in the Zalk Veterinary Medical Library

Scope of Policy

Leaving personal belongings unattended – even in a safe place – can make you vulnerable to theft. When leaving the area, please take your belongings with you. The Zalk Veterinary Medical Library is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

General Policy

Unattended personal belongings found in the library will be taken to the lost and found, located in the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Administrative Suite.
Personal belongings should not be left in the ZVML to reserve study spaces or during test periods.
Certain items may be discarded or otherwise handled at the discretion of library staff, such as perishable foods, dirty or smelly clothing, medications, syringes, etc.
